According to Jenkins, “Transmedia storytelling is a process where integral elements of a fiction get dispersed systematically across multiple delivery channels for the purpose of creating a unified and coordinated entertainment experience “ (Jenkins 2007). Transmedia storytelling as known as transmedia narrative is the way that people using current digital technologies telling a story or sharing an experience with others through multiple platforms and formats.


GoPro camera can be considered as a transmedia with it’s built GoPro App that can be installed in smartphone and computer. The content create by GoPro camera can use on multiple platform and the GoPro App are help to connecting the camera, smartphone and computer. For example, users can use the GoPro App to control the camera even download photo and video from camera to smartphone. After that, the editing process can be done through user’s smartphone and sharing the content on Internet. Other than that, users are able to transfer the content from camera to computer also. A video clip capture by GoPro camera can view on smartphone through GoPro App and also can view on computer and television.


Nowadays, who can rely on their own power to success? People can’t live alone without any other’s help. Many stories cannot tell perfectly through only once and only single media platform. Transmedia represents a strategy for telling stories through different way to convey a story deeper and deeper. For example, a story can extend beyond the specific episodes being describe in the film or television series. The different way to telling a story, the different author will telling the story from different point of view, some of the strong back- story or mythology would be point out.
